Vulnerable and older people


Active Citizens 50+
Run in partnership with a charity called Open Age, this project helps residents aged 50+ in the W2 area of Westminster, to stay active and socialise. Activities range from yoga classes to IT.

Digital Unite

Digital Unite proves that you are never too old to learn. With a grant of over £112,000 from the East London Learning and Skills Council, we installed computer equipment including scanners and webcams in fifteen supported housing schemes for older people in East London.

Our residents were given training opportunities in how to use a computer including searching the internet and using email with the support of Hairnet UK who have many years experience of teaching older people. More...

Furniture project

Delivered in partnership with The Knowles Trust and the Supported Housing department at PCHA. It provides furniture packs to low income and vulnerable PCHA tenants living in Barnet, Brent and Camden. It seeks to improve the quality of life for tenants and help them maintain their tenancy.

French Trip 2007
30 elderly residents from Springboard were treated to a day trip to France last month by Genesis Community as part of the 'Older and vulnerable persons project'. Genesis Community took the residents from various supported housing schemes across to St Omer and Calais in France for the day on 23 March. More...
