Silkin's Field, Stevenage
Providing 198 affordable homes this is the largest site in the
'Challenge Fund 2' programme, a joint initiative between Genesis
Housing Group, English Partnerships and the Housing Corporation. It
comprises a mix of:
- 21 houses for general needs rent
- 34 flats for general needs rent
- 143 flats purchased through NewBuild HomeBuy'
(part-buy/part-rent), for first-time buyers in the area
- 55 homes occupied by tenants nominated by Stevenage Borough
Council

Winton Court, Islington
This scheme received funding from The Housing Corporation. The
site, formerly a basketball court owned by Islington Council was
designed and constructed as a modular housing development and
consists of 23 units, including:
- Six town houses/maisonettes
- 17 two-bedroom flats, of which two are designed for wheelchair
users
- The split between tenures is 10 rented and the remaining 13
flats are shared ownership (a 43% / 57% split,
respectively).
